
SriBUILD, in collaboration with the School of Liberal Arts, under the wings of Sri Balaji University, Pune, successfully conducted a one-day workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), aimed at fostering awareness and dialogue around the evolving landscape of intellectual property. The workshop brought together students, faculty, researchers, and professionals for an engaging learning experience that highlighted the strategic and legal dimensions of IPR. The event commenced with a keynote address by Dr. Ramesh Chandra Panda on “IPR Landscape in India: Challenges and Opportunities”, offering an in-depth view of national policies, emerging trends, and future directions.
This was followed by two expert sessions: Dr. Bharati Dole explored “IPR through a Management Perspective”, while Dr. Anjali Valsangkar delivered a thought-provoking talk titled “Demystifying Intellectual Property for Business Leaders: Why IP is a Strategic Asset, Not Just a Legal Right.” The workshop concluded with a vibrant panel discussion featuring Dr. Panda, Dr. Dole, and Dr. Valsangkar, where they addressed “IPR in Academia, Startups, and Industry – Bridging the Gap”, offering multifaceted insights from academic, legal, and industry standpoints. Adv. Saad Shaikh also added value through his legal perspective on copyrights and trademarks. Overall, the workshop served as a dynamic platform to deepen understanding, spark dialogue, and promote responsible innovation across sectors.
